What does Quotient do better:

We’ve heard lot’s of great feedback from our customers over the years. The following is what we hear has changed most for them and their customers since using Quotient in their business.

BEFORE:

I'm not sure if the customer even received the quote!

AFTER:

In Quotient you can see precisely when a customer opens your quote. This is great to know if you need to follow up.

You can also see how many times the customer has viewed it, which can give you insights into whether they’re interested or not.

If a quote has been sent to more than one person, you’ll even be able to distinguish who opened the quote in the company, and when.

BEFORE:

How do I add extras without seeming expensive?

AFTER:

With Quotient you can include Optional Items, which don’t add into the quote total until they’ve been selected. You can also include Multiple Choice Items, where your customer can select one of a group of many options, and the quote total will automatically calculate.

The “would you like fries with that” approach is good for everyone.

You can offer your customer something they didn’t necessarily ask for, and they’ll appreciate the thoughtful non-pushy service.

It’s good for you because you’ll sell more – simple as that. It will also cut down on back and forth alterations, making for a better experience for everyone involved.

BEFORE:

The customer gave me a verbal “okay”, but it feels flaky!

AFTER:

A Quotient quote provides a clear and simple click-to-accept process, that’s also legally binding.

Quotient allows you to clearly spell out the details in the quote, so it’s easy for your customer to understand what they’re agreeing to. No more “he said, she said” confusion.

After your customer has accepted their quote, both you and your customer will receive an automatic email notification, confirmation their acceptance. This reassures your customer that everything is being taken care of at your end, and it reinforces your great service. It’s effortless on your part.

You can even customize the wording of this email notification to suit your business process.

BEFORE:

Multiple revisions get messy over email!

AFTER:

Quotient quotes are online first and foremost. This means that the quote which you or your customer is looking at is the latest, and it’s the one central source of truth – even if revisions have been made. No more bad old attachments over email.

BEFORE:

I sent the wrong attachment!

AFTER:

You can’t retract an email, but because Quotient’s quotes are online and are ‘live’, you can simply revise the quote (meanwhile it’s ‘offline’ for the customer) and save and publish the changes again when you’re ready.

With built-in safety mechanisms, your customer will be alerted if changes have been made, so there’s no chance of them accepting the wrong quote.

BEFORE:

Have we got enough work this month?

AFTER:

Quotient gives you a rolling dollar value of currently approved quotes. This gives peace of mind with a glimpse into what your bank balance will be in the near future.

You also get a clear picture of what’s in the pipeline, quotes awaiting acceptance – so you know when there’s a dip in sales and when it’s time to get back out there and follow up!

BEFORE:

I get busy and forget to follow up?

AFTER:

Quotient has got your back when it comes to following up your quotes. You’ll be notified on your Dashboard of any quotes which need following up:

  • If a quote is still unopened after 12 hours.
  • The ‘first’ follow-up after 3 days, if a quote hasn’t yet been accepted.
  • The ‘second’ follow-up, after 14 days, it it still hasn’t been accepted.

At each stage, a well crafted email message will be ready-to-go at the push of a button (or dismissed, if you followed up over the phone).

You can modify email messages along with the follow-up frequency.

If someone else on your team did the follow-up, you can still clearly see up the top of the quote that it has been taken care of.

Prospective customers falling through the cracks will be a thing of the past.

BEFORE:

My customer likes to see photos of the product, but attachments get stuck over email!

AFTER:

You can add files and images directly into items on the quote which can be a great confirmation on what you’re selling.

Also, you and your customer can add files to any discussions back and forth directly on the quote, which prevents large attachments clogging that inbox.

BEFORE:

My inbox is out of control!

AFTER:

Quotient has discussions which take place directly on the quote. This centralizes the conversation between your customer and your team. Forget the messy Cc’s and Bcc’s!

BEFORE:

We use our Accounting Software for quoting but it’s basic!

AFTER:

It may not be ideal having your sales team using your accounting software. Getting the team on-board and up to speed with Quotient will be a breeze. It’s software that’s actually a pleasure to use and so rewarding when you get that quote accepted – yes!

You can even generate invoices automatically – Quotient talks seamlessly to Xero or QuickBooks.

You’ll also be missing out on follow ups, discussions, and a raft of other features.

BEFORE:

I feel guilty of not keeping in touch with customers!

AFTER:

Wouldn’t it be great if every time I sent a quote to a new prospect they were automatically added to my company mailing list?

With Quotient connected to MailChimp, every time you send a quote to a new prospect, they’ll be added to your subscription list of choice. So you’ll automatically have a targeted audience for your next newsletter.

BEFORE:

Where do I find that quote? Who quoted that?

AFTER:

In Quotient, all past quotes are searchable whether they were accepted or not.

You can filter by Quote Status and by Team Member.

BEFORE:

Tired of copying and pasting the last Word Document?

AFTER:

Quotient has content Templates that make it super-quick to select a ‘perfect quote’ to start your next new quote with. You can personalize each new quote with a couple of smart-tags, which update throughout the quote once one is filled in. No more forgetting to replace such-and-such name.

BEFORE:

How do I get my team to quote consistent pricing?

AFTER:

Quotient has a library of Price Items that allow you to enter all your popular products and services. This helps your team stay on point and get there faster.

You can also import and update Price Items from your favourite spreadsheet software.

Don’t currently quote? Here are a few good reasons why you should

Do you charge your services by the hour? Or perhaps you quote, but not often enough and feel like you undervalue yourself from time to time. Let’s dig into some of the advantages quoting can bring and why quoting can pay off in the long run.

BEFORE:

At invoicing time, I’m worried the customer will think it’s too expensive!

AFTER:

There’s a risk here that you’ll under-value yourself. Don’t take a gamble. It’s better to quote first, get pricing and expectations aligned up-front. Charge what you’re worth and lock it in.

Sometimes you’ll underestimate your time, but you learn from it, and get it more right next time. You’ll win bigger overall and in the long run.

You’re in part selling the assurance of a fixed price, and in return it gives you the opportunity to think smarter and charge more for it.

You don’t want to end up arguing over price, as you’ve already done the work, you’ll have zero leverage. Agreed price. Expectations aligned. No arguments.

BEFORE:

I don’t like doing admin and paperwork!

AFTER:

Getting the pricing out of the way first can save time down the track. You can also prevent disagreements over pricing and the emotional burden that comes with that! No more email back-and-forths arguing over price after the fact.

By quoting first you’ll cut down on the admin and paperwork down the line. Quotient generates invoices automatically from accepted quotes directly into Xero or Quickbooks.

BEFORE:

Quoting takes too much time!

AFTER:

It can take literally only a couple of minutes to create slick and consistent quotes. Using content Templates where you can create a few ‘perfect quotes’ to start your next new quote with. Personalize each new quote with a couple of smart-tags, which update throughout the quote once one is filled in.

You can also cut down on the paperwork in the long run by creating invoices automatically.

BEFORE:

I don’t want to put the client off by presenting a fixed price!

AFTER:

The beauty of a Quotient quote is that it’s not a static document. The customer can use the discussion section directly on the quote to ask a question. This keeps the conversation flowing and the negotiation alive.

Quotient's Optional items are a good way to throw in extra costs without impacting the initial total price – the customer has the flexibility to pick-and-choose, the power is in their hands.

BEFORE:

I sometimes forget to invoice the job!

AFTER:

If you don’t quote the job, how are going to remember to invoice it? You can generate invoices automatically using Quotients integration with Xero or QuickBooks.
