Privacy, Security, and Backups

You trust us with your data and we are responsible for ensuring it is safe and secure. As an ongoing process, we see this as a core part of Quotient as a software product and has been top-of-mind since we started in 2011.

Secure connection between you and Quotient – always

Whenever data is sent between your browser and Quotient it is encrypted and transmitted using HTTPS, the same level of encryption used by your bank. Most importantly, this protects you when accessing Quotient through a public WiFi.

Two-Factor Authentication

You can enable Two-Factor Authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account. Once setup, you’ll enter your password AND a special code from an app on your phone. That means someone would need to know your email address, password AND have access to your phone to be able to sign in to your account.

Data replication and backups

For redundancy and protection against a server failure, your data is securely replicated in multiple locations in real-time. In addition to this, your data is backed up continuously and also stored securely in multiple locations.

We protect your payment information

All credit card information and transactions are processed securely by Stripe on a PCI compliant network. Quotient does not store your credit card information, only the authorization to make a transaction. QUOTIENTAPP.COM, QUOTIENT LTD, or QUOTIENT will be referenced on your credit card statement.

Benefits of Quotient in the cloud

Managing your Quotes in the cloud means you can securely access your data from any device 24/7. Your data isn’t tied to your computer so if your computer was lost or stolen your data would remain safe.

World class hosting infrastructure

Quotient utilizes Amazon Web Services for their world-class data centers, located in various regions in the US and Australia (for redundancy).

Amazon data centers provide network and security monitoring systems, which are continuously tested and kept up-to-date with the latest best practices. Read more about Amazon Web Services security.
