If you want an experienced marine surveyor look no further then Martin Pittilo of Maple Marine. I grew up in the company of merchant marine engineers so have gleaned a lot of knowledge and definitely know an expert when I meet one.

Martin took the trouble to go through the survey findings with me, pointing out which items needed to be dealt with imminently, and which were advisory or suggestions. The survey was reasonably priced too. I recommend Martin highly.

Tingdene Marinas recommended Martin Potillo as one of their preferred surveyors. After contacting Martin he was a very friendly and easy surveyor to deal with. He completed the survey and prior to the report being issued he called to provide some detailed background to the report he was compiling. This gave me real reassurance and a greater understanding of his very detailed findings. Martins report was indeed very comprehensive which enabled me to arrange for all remedial work on the boat to be completed prior to purchase completion. So detailed was his survey that he even spotted a cracked battery connection that was tucked away in a very dark part of the bilges.
I am very happy to recommend Martin to anyone contemplating the use of a Marine Surveyor to complete a thorough survey. He offers a very professional comprehensive service that is competitively priced.

His report gave us the confidence to go ahead with the purchase knowing exactly what jobs had to be completed before setting sail.
