Following the installation of my Solar System by your company I deemed it fit to share my journey with you.
For starters I approached three different solar companies for quotes.
Having spent thirty two years with Bell Equipment Company as MD I have a fair experience of what customer service was all about.
Walking into your premises without an appointment I asked for the owner of the company. In no time I was welcomed by yourself and we discussed my need. Two options were tabled and I received the quotes via e-mail the next day.
I confirmed my preference and payment was made. Installation dates were given and although I was not happy I fully understood the lead times on the imported components.
The installation of the Inverter and Batteries was done by Johan and his assistant. Very competent and friendly guys !
The Solar Panels were installed some six weeks later again I was delighted and pleased with the fitment team.
Follow up calls were made by your team which gave me further comfort. I also made an after hours call to Johan due to a red light concern on the system. I was assisted with great enthusiasm and knowledge. I also received follow up calls from Francois.
All in all a great and happy journey with Powerhour Solar - George !

Attention: Mr. Riaan Kasselman
During the Month of February 2023, I decided to upgrade my power supply from a Mercer 2400VA (purchased at Powerhour during December 2019 and installed new Battery’s in May 2021) to a more reliable system, considering the extended Load shedding hours by Eskom.
Mr. Riaan Kasselman was the Salesman with whom I discussed my requirement and various models have been discussed and eventually the best Unit for my requirement was the one suggested by Mr Kasselman, a 3kw Mercer with 2x 200a/h lithium Battery pack with 2x Solar Panels -380 - 450w.
The Unit was installed shortly afterwards without the Solar Panels and performing without problems.
Approximately 3 Weks later the Solar panels where installed and the Foreman in charged was carrying out a good installation job and programmed the setting which was given to him by someone over his cell phone. A few days later the alarm went off during the night and I switched off the system and informed Mr Kasselman of this problem, how arranged that the Person who assembled the Unit in the first place came to my house and re adjusted the setting which turned out to be wrong again.
Mr Kasselman was informed again with the problem which I encountered and he decided to adjust the settings himself as there are certain power settings not known to the Installer. Since then, the Unit is running without any problem and hopefully for many years to come.
My personnel conclusion regarding the installation and commissioning of this unit is the workmanship is of good quality but the final technical knowledge regarding the working and adjusting the System is missing.

If I was pushed for a negative item, it would be that the house walls were left a little dirty after the solar panels were installed. Would recommend the Company.

Die beoogde datum vir die sonpanele is vir middel Junie beplan. Die sonpanele is egter vandag (10 Mei 2023) deur 4 vriendelike en kundige jongmans, gelei deur Leo, geïnstalleer. Dit was binne 3 ure oor en uit - klaar! Super netjies en professioneel.
My opregte dank en waardering aan die besigheid, en in besonder Riaan, François en Nico, en Johan en Leo.

Ek wil vir julle by Powerhour bedank vir die installering van ons inverter en panele.Eeerstens moet ek Johannes bedank wat kans gesien het om die nuwe stelsel(wat julle geen kennis van gehad het nie) deur julle span te laat installeer.Wie het nou kon droom dat dit so n ingewikkelde spul sal wees maar aankouers wen.AAn almal wat deel was n groot groot dankie en hier wil ek besonder vir Johan n groot dankie se die man het net geweier om tou op tegooi en daar werk alles nou perfek. Kobus kan trots wees oor die manne wat al die instellasies doen. Ons het lanklaas met so n groep vriendelike en hulpvaardige manne te doen gehad.
