We had a difficult problem to solve: radiators which worked correctly for a few days and then gradually cooled. So it took time to find what to do. A power flush, replacement pump, a replacement radiator and value reconfiguration did the trick. The system now works better than it has done for years. We were really quite surprised at how warm our living room can now get, and can now turn the radiators down, even when it is cold outside. The work was done over several days. The engineers (and ECS staff in general) were very efficient, polite and hard-working. Overall, the cost was high, although it is hard to guess how much another company would have charged. We would go to ECS again.

Service was prompt on first call out. The diagnosis and estimate was received a couple of days later. The repair was carried out within a week and all according to estimate. All round a very efficient service.

Really pleased with the upgraded heating and hot water control system installed in October. ECS were not the cheapest quote I had, but the cost break down Ross sent me was very detailed and he even spent time on the phone to me to go through the items to be replaced or upgraded. The engineer, Chris, arrived on the agreed date and worked on my system for 10 hours to ensure it was all up and running that day. His pipework and component installation is the neatest I have seen, there is now more space in my airing cupboard, even though more components have been fitted. My heating system is now fully zone programmable and has been working faultlessly.
Really pleased with the system recommendation and installation - thank you.

I couldn’t fault the service I got from quotation to the installation of the new boiler. The boiler was fitted on the day agreed and fully up and running by the end of the day . The old boiler and all packaging was removed and the site left spotless .

I recently had an Air Source Heat Pump with underfloor heating installed in my home, and ECS did an outstanding job! I primarily worked with Alex and Tom, though a few other engineers were involved occasionally. Every team member was thoroughly professional and respectful of the property, even though it’s a work-in-progress with crumbling plaster and old carpets.
Here are the aspects that impressed me the most:
Communication: I was kept informed throughout the installation, with the team clearly explaining any decisions as they arose. Alex was particularly thorough during the final handover, making sure I understood everything. They also communicated any temporary changes to water or electricity access well in advance, which was crucial since I work from home.
Tidiness: I've rarely encountered tradespeople as tidy as ECS’s team. They wrapped up each day’s work with a thorough clean-up, even pulling out the Henry Hoover to leave the space spotless.
Pragmatism: This was a large, disruptive project (lasting about two weeks), during which my partner and I were living out of one room and shuffling things around and moving them to storage. Even when our prep didn't always keep pace with the project (like clearing out rooms), the team was incredibly flexible, working around these challenges to keep the project moving. Their willingness to go above and beyond made a big difference.
Workmanship: The quality of work was excellent, with careful consideration given to potential future projects in the house.
Punctuality & Reliability: They committed to arriving at 08:00 each day, and they kept that promise without exception.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience working with ECS, and I would recommend them to anyone considering a similar installation. I’ll definitely reach out to them for future projects.
