I'm an owner of a two-family in Cambridge and had Dan's Custom Hardwood Flooring refinish floors for the empty rental until in August 2021. I can't say enough positive things about them.
Jimmy came out to do the site visit and provide the quote - he was a quick responder to communication and he was very professional and straight to the point. He gave candid input and the quote was available immediately. The entire pre-engagement process is handled by an extremely easy to navigate online portal and any questions were quickly answered by Jimmy.
My job was done in late August and happened to occur while Jimmy was on vacation. I initially thought this was a ripe situation for something bad to happen, but his crew was GREAT. They arrived on time and took the time to thoroughly talk through the specific repairs prior to the sanding and refinishing.
I can't say enough about the final product. The tricky repairs came out impeccable. You'd never know a repair was made. The overall outcome was beautiful.
Great people to work with and they do an excellent job. I highly recommend them. I'll be using them again when I do our upstairs unit.

They were great! Put in 3 floors and finished several others. Floors look great and work was done a bit ahead of time and they managed to work the job to fit my schedule. I highly recommend them. Price was better that some others too.

I am very pleased with the result of my kitchen floor refinishing. The process from estimate to completion was without any problems. Jimmy Nguyen was prompt in providing an estimate, setting a start date and describing what to expect with my refinished floor. On the first day he arrived to start the process and instruct the men on what needed to be done. The men who did the work were pleasant and very focused on the job. They arrived when expected, cleaned up, particularly after the actual sanding, and wasted no time during the whole process. The process I chose left minimal dust and odor. I have been receiving very positive comments on the final result from friends and family.

They were very accommodating as we had to juggle our schedule a few times. The workers arrived exactly on schedule and finished on time. There was almost no detectable dust in the house and the floors are beautiful. They look better than when they were new.

When we decided that we needed to have our hardwood floors refinished before selling our house, we got quotes from several outfits including Dan's. The quotes were all similar, but what made Dan's stand out was that they did a good job of explaining the process they would follow, and they gave us a choice of products to put on the floors. None of the others gave us a choice.
The crews arrived when they said they would (always very important!), did their work quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up before leaving for the day. No dust anywhere that we could see. We chose the High End Single Component Waterbase product, so it didn't even smell up the house (we highly recommend this). And the newly finished floors look excellent.
